Salini Vijayakumar is a Portal Fee Earner where she deals with liability admitted cases under the Ministry of Justice Portal.
Her role involves negotiating settlement and reviewing medical report and medical records, loss of earnings and accountancy records and running the cases to stage 3 where she issues court proceedings when settlement is not agreed between Claimant and Defendant.
Salini’s legal career began at a firm of solicitors in Stockport prior to joining Bott and Co in 2017. It was here where she worked as a Stage 1 claims handler where she was taking calls from potentially new clients. She also has experience of working as a debt collector where she was chasing payment for hire for claim management companies.
She is committed to assisting claimants achieve the best possible outcome in their claims for serious injuries arising as a result of road traffic accidents
Together with her team, they work hard focusing on the needs of the victim and their family, ensuring that the process of making a claim is as straightforward as possible for the client.
The most rewarding part in Salini’s job is to assist people involved in road traffic accidents by helping them get them back into the state they were in prior to the accident. This could sometimes involve instructing physiotherapy to assist recovery and negotiating the right amount of settlement for the pain that they have suffered as result of the accident.
“My main goal is to make sure her clients are fully aware of the claims process, the many steps and stages from start to finish,” says Salini.
“Thanks to my work experiences over the years, I have gained and developed a vast extent of knowledge, talents and insights that add value to clients.”
Outside work Salini likes to spend her time with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading, travelling, listening to music and regularly donates to British Red Cross and Cancer Research UK.
