Musawar joined Bott and Co in March 2018 after eight years of working in the personal injury and credit hire litigation sector. Having completed his Legal Practitioners Course at BPP Law School in Leeds, Musawar enjoyed a brief stint working for Lyons Davidson Solicitors in Leeds.
His duties consisted of recovering uninsured losses for Claimants. His enthusiasm, attention to detail and understanding of the personal injury protocol saw him being promoted within the company to handle a full personal injury caseload under the supervision of Claimant Partner at the firm Jon Snee.
Shortly thereafter Musawar was selected by former salaried partner at a Defendant Personal Injury firm Horwich Farrelly Solicitors in Manchester. The former salaried partner had set up practice to focus on high value personal injury claims and personally recruited Musawar to handle the Fast Track cases for Claimants under his expert tutelage. It was here that Musawar was first exposed to Claimants who had sustained catastrophic injuries in road traffic accidents where compensation awards regularly exceeded £250,000.00.
Notable Multi Track cases Musawar has been involved with includes one where the Claimant had been left severely disabled having lost the use of both legs following a road traffic accident. Musawar assisted the senior partner in securing a very lucrative compensation award of over £500,000. The Claimant remains in contact with Musawar to this day testament to his client care and assistance in the matter.
His successes, reputation and determination to pursue issues to get a fair result for client saw him being introduced to credit hire claims and further develop the department. Following two very successful years Musawar went on to secure a training contract before applying his skills at two Manchester based firms dealing with high value credit hire claims and taxi credit hire claims.
He is presently employed as a Fast Track personal injury, litigation expert and is known for going the ‘extra mile’ when litigating and negotiating on their behalf to achieve the best settlement possible.
Outside work, Musawar’s interests include keeping fit and travelling. He is also an elected Borough Councillor in Pendle. Having been elected in May 2016, Musawar played a vital role in assisting his political party take control of the Borough Council two years later.
It was the first time in 38 years that his party had managed to take overall control of the council and as a reward for his outstanding efforts, Musawar was selected to sit on the Policy and Resources Committee which sets policies for the Borough. Musawar was also appointed as the Lead member of the Council for External Services.
