Grant Redburn is a Legal Assistant in the Holiday Sickness team.
Having previously joined as an Office Assistant after graduating from university, Grant’s curiosity in personal injury, he quickly moved to become an Admin Assistant where he was able to work on Multi – Track cases and have a glimpse of how they progressed on a case to case basis.
Suffering with illness abroad can not only ruin a holiday but also result in long term health problems. We have a specialist team of experts who can help you obtain the maximum level of compensation which you deserve.
At Bott and Co we understand how disappointing and frustrating it can be to have suffered an injury or illness aboard.
As part of his role, Grant works on all aspects of a claim such as the Letter of Claim, responding to the Third Party’s Defence, drafting witness statements and instructing counsel. He became interested in this role as it provided me the opportunity to gain the necessary experience needed to become a solicitor.
Joining the firm initially as an Office Assistant, Grant’s rise to Legal Assistant reflects the firm’s excellent training programmes and is currently in his second year of the Legal Practice Course (LPC ).
When asked what the most rewarding part of his job is, he said: “Helping client’s receiving some form of redemption for the loss they suffered. A lot of clients don’t make a claim for the money, they feel as if they were wronged in some way, and it’s nice to help them in their pursuit.
He is resourceful and creative in finding the best possible solutions to his clients’ holiday sickness claims providing advice with a high level of attention to detail.
Having spent two years in the EL/PL department and two years on the Holiday Sickness team, Grant hopes to one day progress and qualify as a solicitor.
One of his career highlights includes working as an EL/PL Admin Assistant where he was involved in drafting a trial bundle for Multi Track EL/PL claim that settled for over £100,000.
Outside work, Grant enjoys fundraising for charities and has completed the 10Km Rough Runner course for charity.
