Catherine Byrne joined Bott and Co in 2015 after completing her Graduate Diploma in Law in Nottingham and obtaining some valuable experience in a firm specialising in serious injury.
She initially worked as a Fee Earner in the RTA department before moving on to a new venture in the developing Holiday Sickness Team, all while studying part time for the Legal Practice Course (LPC).
On completion of her LPC, she went through a vigorous application process to obtain a Training Contract with Bott and Co of which she is currently half way through. It was her previous roles that played a huge role in helping her secure a Training Contract, as they provided her with indispensable experience in client care, team work and legal knowledge.
Catherine prides herself on ensuring that she gives her clients accurate and timely advice about their case and regularly receives great feedback about her proactive approach.
As a result of her training contract, she is currently placed in our award winning Aviation department gaining an important insight into the commercial workings of the firm and exploring innovative ways to maximise efficiency within the business.
“I have learnt a lot from in my time here at Bott and Co, meaning I have been able to learn to adapt and react well in different situations.”
She believes even though cases can be complex it is important that we keep all of our clients fully informed about the developments in their case and that we strive to provide a quality service.
Catherine has been praised by clients for, being approachable, understanding, giving clear and professional advice and, above all, being determined in achieving the results they need.
“My motivation is driven by a job well done and recognition by clients and peers alike is the most rewarding part of the job.”
Away from work, you will usually find her hiking and at the gym. She is also very passionate about the environment and believes everyone should strive to protect the world we live in by making even the smallest of changes.
