Libby is Bott and Co’s Deputy Operations Manager. Since joining the firm in 2014, she has also served as a Receptionist before taking up her current role. However her interest in Operations began in 2011 during her stint at Next PLC, where she held position of Assistant Store Manager.
It is at Next PLC where Libby realised her passion for HR and talent management. Her drive to succeed saw her enrol in an executive PA Diploma with Pitman Training, in order to gain further qualifications in the field of HR.
Libby has a good all-round experience and knowledge of business gained from working as Bott and Co’s Receptionist where she was also involved with planning and employee induction. She used her time in reception to support other departments with workload as and when she could.
Her pragmatism and hardworking nature saw her become promoted to the position of Deputy Operations Manager where she works with all departments to make sure everyone is working together and pulling in the right direction. From recruitment to welcoming new colleagues on board, to supporting their training and encouraging their development, Libby has a desire to impact the growing Bott and Co brand with innovative ideas and ways of working.
“Operations management is the understanding of processes within a company and ensuring they work faultlessly,”says Libby.
At Bott and Co, Libby’s main role lies within HR has involved setting up and running the HR software system Cascade. Using a very hands on approach, she thrives from delivering long term results, empowering and motivating her team of Operations Assistants.
Operations require a good understanding of each employee’s role and Libby’s natural desire and ability to integrate new information has proved extremely useful to the firm.
She also helps to provide practical support to the business and helps ensure HR activities are seamless and efficient.
Her calm and methodical approaches sees her assist and advise other departments on opportunities for improving systems and procedures that will have a positive impact on the entire firm.

Her professional highlight to date has been implementing Bott and Co’s HR system – training managers and colleagues, creating HR policies as well as developing employee performance initiatives.

Outside the office, Libby is involved in ongoing charity work. Since 2014 she has supported, and organised events The Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and MacMillan Cancer Support. Most recently she organised and hosted a charity ball which raised over £6,000 for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation, an achievement she is extremely proud of, as the charity is very close to her heart.
