Claire Walsh started working at Bott and Co at its inception in 2001 as a Legal Secretary. She quickly progressed to become the PA to the Directors and now holds the HR Coordinator position.
She has been instrumental in assisting with the growth of the firm. Claire decided to pursue her HR career within Bott and Co through the Bott Academy, so she enrolled on a CIPD Course Level 3 in 2015 and Level 5 in 2017, which she successfully completed and is now a qualified CIPD Associate.
As the firm’s HR Coordinator, Claire is responsible for maintaining and proactively supporting the HR initiatives to meet operational, strategic organisational goals and objectives for staff human resources.
Her role involves participating in full employee life cycle processes including but not limited to recruitment, employment contracts, administration of payroll, new hire communication and preparation and the HR system Cascade.
Claire is highly organised and driven, with a keen eye for detail. She believes that keeping the firm’s organisation running smoothly is key in order to retain its position as a top legal frim.
“I enjoy my role as it is varied and I like to ensure all new starters have the best start and feel welcomed into the organisation. Consistently looking at different ways of improving and developing the HR Department to ensure an efficient quality of service is a great motivation for me,” says Claire.
She works closely with Bott and Co Partners to help the business identify new talent who are passionate and can deliver the high quality of service that clients expect and deserve.
“Good people and good systems produce great companies, because when you have the right people together, great things can happen. It is for this reason that Bott and Co takes great care and commitment to promoting and developing staff from within.”
She prides herself on being approachable and a good listener and works hard to ensure all colleagues can operate efficiently and effectively.
When asked what has been her greatest achievement to date, she proudly said: “Running the Wilmslow Half Marathon in March 2015 and completing my CIPD course.”
