Anne Brown is a Senior Solicitor in the Road Traffic Accident (RTA) department and has the additional responsibility of mentoring other team members.
Her area of expertise is personal Injury litigation, specialising in road traffic litigation. She handles a wide range of cases including those involving liability disputes, quantum disputes, causation disputes, minor/infant approval claims and acting in cases of alleged fraud.
Having studied Law as an additional subject at A-Level, she enjoyed analysing various scenarios, applying and distinguishing rules to reach a balanced conclusion. She went onto study a
Law Degree at Manchester Metropolitan University and the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the BPP in Manchester. Following the LPC she joined a leading Defendant Insurance firm where she qualified as a Solicitor in 2011 and worked there for 10 years.
“My experience in the defendant insurance industry has given me a valuable insight into the tactics adopted by the Defendant Insurers, which from a Claimant perspective enables me to anticipate their approach and prepare my clients for the same,” explains Anne.
Anne has varied and extensive experience in in RTA claims having worked in this area of law for over 12 years within which time there has been a great deal of change in the industry, with the introduction of the MOJ Portal Process and Jackson Reforms.
She has adapted her approach to her roles to accommodate these changes and to ensure the best level of advice and service her clients, whether they are a Claimant individual or a
Defendant Insurer and has assisting her Firms in developing and implementing key processes and practices to ensure a smooth transition.
As a forward-thinker and strategic planner, Anne makes sure that her clients are well-guided throughout their claim process and adopts a hands-on approach to delivering results as quickly as possible.
The most rewarding part of her career to date is having mentored, led and developed colleagues in her team and many of them have become solicitors or completed their Apprenticeships. As a result, the firm has benefited from knowledgeable, experienced and successful employees.
“I have developed a wide and varied knowledge in my field and my experience and approachable manner has resulted in my expanding to supervising, training and leading team members. Prior to working at Bott and Co I led a team of Litigation Fee Earners, with the particular focus on training and mentoring apprentices and Law graduates new to the legal practice,” says Anne.
She is passionate about ensuring her clients’ best interests are accounted for each step of the claims process. She endeavours to provide them with a balanced assessment of their case based upon their individual needs and circumstances and providing advice in a clear and effective manner.
Anne is approachable, empathetic and committed to establishing strong relationships with clients in order to provide an efficient and trustworthy service.
Her successful track record speaks for itself and she knows all too well that the claims process can be quite stressful, and her purpose is to explain, simplify and guide you through the process.
Outside work, Anne enjoys spending time with her family and holidaying in the Canary Islands. A few years ago, she completed a DELE Diploma in Spanish. She is a member of her local Flower Club and is developing her skills in producing floral arrangements and assisting with local displays.
