Adele first joined the firm in 2014 bringing with her over 18 years’ experience in the legal industry. She is currently a Senior Multi Track Fee Earner and specialises in dealing with claimants that have been seriously injured in road traffic accident claims.
Her career started at Covéa Insurance (formally Provident Insurance) where she was logging policyholder accidents and dealing with their repairs and total loss claims.
It was here that she received invaluable training which has been used over her career to advise clients who have issues with their insurers, or instances where third party insurers are attempting to avoid claims. After working in a personal injury role while working at Direct Line Insurance, she moved to Simpson Millar in 2003, this time to a claimant position, (Junior Litigation Executive) dealing with Personal Injury (PI) claims.
“It was relatively easy to transfer my defendant knowledge to claimant and I quickly gained experience. I was allowed to deal with higher value claims and worked closely with counsel gaining significant experience in chronic pain and fibromyalgia cases. I also mentored junior members of the team and was involved in developing the workflow for the bespoke case management system. I was promoted to Associate in 2011.”
Prior to working at Bott and Co she was at DAC Beachcroft LLP, where she defended and represented the interests of two large insurance companies dealing with a predominately litigated caseload.
“Road safety is an issue of great concern. When an accident happens, lives are forever changed. Simple pleasures become chores and normal everyday routines are disrupted. Here at Bott and Co we have an impressive track record of achieving optimum results for clients injured through road traffic accidents,” says Adele.
“My goal is to make sure you get everything you are entitled to as you return to good health. I keep in regular contact with my clients. I understand what they are going through, medically and financially and will fight to ensure that you receive the best results.”
Her experience in the legal industry has seen her gain valuable insight into the approach and tactics adopted by the defendant insurance industry. This experience has been used extensively to represent the interests of her clients who are suspected of pursuing fraudulent claims.
Defendants are known to test the resolve of litigators in every case. However, Adele’s detail-oriented and hands-on approach has helped several accident victims get the best results possible from their compensation claims.
Her expertise is in catastrophic injuries, clients who are suspected of pursuing fraudulent claims and she has particular interest in fibromyalgia and chronic pain cases.
Adele understands the significant impact that injuries may have brought to a client’s life and will zealously advocate your case to obtain the maximum recovery for your injuries and the damages you have suffered while providing clear, understandable advice.
One of her professional highlights was settling a high value claim for over £250,000 for a client involved in an accident with a tractor – the client suffered a dislocated hip and debridement of the foot and he was airlifted from the scene.
Outside office hours, Adele enjoys travelling and had visited six continents. She also has a Labrador Retriever, Bowie.
