What can I expect will happen?

While every situation is unique, we highlight below the typical stages involved in pursuing your personal injury compensation claim.

Notify Bott & Co. of accident

You phone or notify us online of your accident.  A personal injury specialist contacts you back within hours to find out further details.

Information gathering & have medical

We carefully consider the merits of your case to decide how the claim should proceed.  We work with other professionals, in particular medical experts, to gather the evidence in support of your personal injury compensation claim.

Present your claim

We write to the person we believe is responsible for the personal injury claim, who pass it on to the insurance company.  The insurance company has 3 weeks to acknowledge receipt of your claim.

Consider your claim

The insurance company has a further 3 months to investigate the claim and decide whether they accept their client was at fault.  They may interview witnesses and gather police evidence if necessary.

If insurance company admits fault

The insurance company offers you personal injury compensation.  We advise whether to accept the offer or try and negotiate a better offer.

If insurance company does not admit fault or makes unacceptable offer

We assess the likelihood of success and advise whether we should take your case to Court.  Only if we consider the prospects of success to be good will we issue proceedings in the Court on your behalf.
